The stress and uncertainty and disruptions to our normal routines have placed serious strains on our bodies and spirits - raising new challenges and aggravating those we’ve already been living with.
I’m here to help.
The training I’ve done in body-centered therapy and trauma healing beginning more than 20 years ago has prepared me well for these times.
And with more than 30 years of professional experience, there’s not much in my practice that I haven’t seen.
The text on the following pages will give you a sense of how I work - both in the office, and in video calls.
I'll hold your story with you, of how and why you're feeling challenged - and reflect it back to help you get a better sense of how you can make changes for yourself - as I help you move towards that with expert, nurturing skill and care.
Healing Intentions...
Most of us have far more potential for abundant aliveness than we know. Habitual ways of holding or moving our bodies, as well as tension created by stress, overuse, trauma or illness, can restrict our ability to experience the full richness of life.
Conscious, caring bodywork and the practices that I offer through remote video sessions can be a powerful supports for helping you rediscover the fullness of who you are and participate more fully in the rich gift of life.
Whether your interest is in:
stress or pain relief
health building after surgery or illness
emotional support during a challenging life transition
recovery, self-discovery or
any of the many other reasons people seek out body-centered support.
my aim is to attend to the whole person - body, mind and heart - in a synergistic approach to healing.
Centering/Re-Balancing Sessions can help you stay "on course" through the intensity of a demanding schedule or a challenging transition - or create movement when your life feels stuck. Both hands-on in-person and remote video sessions can help you find a peaceful center from which to more clearly sense your life and to tap the stillness at the source of all balanced movement - as well as give you tools and support to get there on your own.
Postural/Bodymind Integration
Acute trauma, chronic overuse, or the accumulated effects of poor postural habits can cause imbalances in the musculo-skeletal system which can effect the whole body, down to the very way it feels to move and be in the world. Sessions can help rebalance your body by lengthening contracted muscles, enhancing self-awareness and by increasing your overall sense of ease and comfort in your body.
"Speed Your Recovery"
Most people over the years have come to see me because they’re in either in pain, or their capacity to enjoy the full range of activity they've been used to has been compromised – either from an injury, surgery, some kind of overuse strain, or from living with a long-term structural imbalance. With more than 30 years of practice, there's little I haven't seen, and I only work with people I feel confident that I can help.
