These are crazy times, filled with many profound changes to our ways of life – including access to practitioners that help support our health and well-being.
Fortunately, our technology gives us ways we can get support.
Like many practitioners, I’ve got my own version to offer.
No, it’s not the same as what we would do in a hands-on session.
But - there is a lot that we CAN do in a virtual session to support both your emotional and physical well-being, which I’ve been exploring with different folks for a few years – and those of my regular clients that I’ve seen this past week via Zoom have been very pleased.
Stuart has been great in adapting what we do in his office for video sessions. Our recent session combined focused breathing, self-massage, movement and counseling and left me feeling much more relaxed and balanced than I was when we started. Continuing our weekly meetings remotely has supported my personal efforts to maintain a sound mind and body during this stressful and surreal time.

The practices in these sessions, listed below, can be used for:

The elements of these practices have been at the heart of my work from the beginning – integrated into my private sessions, as well as offered in a range of group settings since the 1990’s, and include:

Self-massage and acupressure
Focused stretching, yoga postures and other therapeutic movement practices
Sound-healing and breath work
Spiritual direction and prayer
Suggestions for journalling and other expressive arts or ritual practices

These session can be integrated with distant healing Reiki, a surprisingly potent and effective way of working.
